Our research group usually participates in the dissemination programs organized by the University addressed to students of primary and secondary schools to get closer to science.
- We do Research! (Fem Recerca!) program consists of the design of practical activities aimed at students of 4th ESO and 1st Baccalaureate to bring them closer to science. Workshops usually take place between October and January. GreenCat offers practices related to the use of microwaves for the preparation of materials or catalytic tests for a suistanable chemistry.
- Conferences in Secondary Schools. Lecture on "How car catalysts work".
- Participation in the project: Women Scientists, Past and Present! (Científiques: passat i present). This educational project aims to connect the biography, research and discoveries of women scientists from the past with the research currently being led by women scientists from around the world. It has been promoted by the Faculty of Chemistry of the Rovira i Virgili University (URV) and by the Catalan Institute for Chemical Research (ICIQ) with the support of the University's Equality Observatory. Through different didactic files we give visibility to scientists who have worked and are working in the fields of radioactivity, catalysis, crystallography, programming, DNA, light and geometry.
- Participation in the project: Sticker Album of the Periodic Table. On the occasion of the celebration of the International Year of the Periodic Table of Chemical Elements 2019, the Faculty of Chemistry of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV) and the Catalan Institute for Chemical Research (ICIQ) have designed an outreach project of the periodic table with the aim of approaching chemistry and making known the importance of chemical elements as fundamental parts that make up matter, our environment, and ultimately, life.
