Dr. Judith Granados Reyes graduated in Chemistry from the Universidad del Atlántico (Colombia) in 2009, obtained obtained her master's degree in Applied Chromatographic Techniques from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2011, and her PhD in Chemical Science and Technology from the Universitat Rovira i Virgili in 2015. Her PhD was focused on hydrocalumite-based catalysts for glycerol revalorization. She has five years of experience as a teacher-researcher at the Universidad del Atlántico, Colombia, and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the GreenCat group at the URV.
Her research focuses on the synthesis of catalysts and heterogeneous reactions, with a particular interest in the valorization of glycerol and biomass, promoting green chemistry and sustainability through the use of renewable resources. In addition, she uses technologies such as microwaves and ultrasound to obtain materials with specific properties, improving their performance in catalytic applications.
Throughout her career, she has contributed publications in scientific journals, presented at international conferences, supervised undergraduate and graduate students, and participated in the development of research proposals.
