Yolanda Cesteros (ORCID 0000-0002-5439-9358) graduated in Chemistry at the URV in 1993 and obtained a doctorate in Chemistry from the same University in 1997 under the supervision of Dr. Pilar Salagre, Dr. Jesús E Sueiras and Dr. Francesc Medina together with a research project on the catalytic hydrodechlorination of 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene to use Ni catalysts. In 1998 he went for a postdoctoral stay in the research group of Professor Gary L. Haller at Yale University (USA).
She will be Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the URV between 2002 and 2011. Currently, she is Professor of Inorganic Chemistry at the URV since 2011, head of the Materials Catalytic research group in Green Chemistry (GreenCat) and dean of the Faculty of Chemistry since 2014.
Dr. Yolanda Cesteros has more than 25 years of experience in the preparation and characterization of our heterogenous catalysts to be applied in processes of industrial and environmental interest.
In addition, she uses new technologies (microons and ultrasons) for the synthesis of new nanomaterials with acidic, basic or metallic properties with controlled particle size for their use as catalysts or catalytic supports.
He has published more than 100 articles in international scientific journals, has presented more than 130 communications to congresses, has participated in more than 60 public and private financed projects and has co-supervised 11 PhD theses.
